Kitchen finished! :yahoo:

This arrived during it's progress. A new addition to my 'No Eye' Bass Oreno collection, complete with 'introduction box' (1916 - 1925). Just a couple of little 'pointers' in the paint, but remarkably good for a wooden plug around 100 years old. :pipe:

Excellent nick for such an old bait John. Love the box too...i think a lot of the old packaging is as nice as the baits themselves

John , Without delving to much
Where do you find lures like that
I don’t see lures like that on E -bay ( unless I’ve got my eyes shut )
Please feel free to tell me to bog off

Tom

I bought it on eBay Tom! (It helped that I knew what it was, rather than rely on the very basic seller's description).

I find you have to be a bit relentless at scouring listings as I'm fairly sure eBay 'tailors' what it shows you, even on quite specific searches, based on what you've recently bought.

For instance, I've purchased or viewed several new tackle boxes recently - and all of a sudden my wider searches and 'suggestions' are full of boxes. I reckon it's to do with their dumb cookies, which seem to think you want to keep on buying stuff you've already got! I bought some sea fishing gear too in recent months and suddenly that seems to crop up disproportionately in all my eBay search results too.

Ebay certainly does track your searches John. I was looking for 8 eyelet oxblood DMs for my 11 year old granddaughter and the more rare 6 eyelet for me and I got an email from an obscure supplier saying we notice you're looking for ...etc and we have three pairs left at a bargain price......cool eh ? ....see your post in the background

Those algorithms are chugging away chugging chugging.....

I gave up on Levis when they went over £30 a pair Started wearing combats and latterly Craghoppers Kiwis (although quality seems to have slipped). Dickies are rapidly becoming my gents outfitter of choice.

I read somewhere that jeans are such a very basic item of clothing and easy to make on an automatic machine press a button and.......they should never be expensive £20 is enough.

They were originally work clothing.

These two should be winging their way to me as we speak....a pair of 4" Mavericks from Ebay US. I`ve been trying to track down some 4" for a while so snapped these up as soon as I saw them. The top bait should clean up ok, the bottom bait will be getting a new paint job

:laughs: I was watching those and missed the end of the auction! The £15-odd shipping pushed them up to just shy of £12 each (bearable  ).

The great Jeans side-debate. All my jeans are Levi's, mostly 501s. The only other denims I own are a pair of Lee dungarees, although they're not as good as the ones I wore in the '70s. Like Martin, I'm a big Doc Martens fan too.
