Abu Servicing/repair

Post by edbeef » Mon Jan 14 2019 11:27

I have seen a couple of threads touch on this but no definitive answers:

Who does repairs and servicing? My clicker is very tough to engage on one and the other one I have doesn't engage spool wind after casting unless I wind like fury till it clicks in.
Neither situation is ideal

Thanks Dave, is he on here or is there another way of getting in contact with him?
Found a lot of Google results from 2013ish showing a personal email address so will use that if there's not an official website contact detail link (of sorts)

Last time I looked his contacts were on the Abu UK site. Which appears to be down.

He's based on The Wirral.

An old work colleague of mine is pete. He is the official ABU repair centre for multipliers and he has rather a lot of spare parts going back years! Not expensive either.

Thanks for all your help. His email address seems to be out of commission so I'll try his phone number in non-vampire hours

Pete is very old school, he doesn’t do emails. Ring him up in office hours.

All sorted.
For future reference he lost his freeserve email address due to them being sold as part of Orange.

He's available on the same number in that link and that address.
