Twists lovely. Burn the plastic off the tag and then twist it as per normal wire.

I crimp it, or did when I used it.

It's a bit of a gimmick IMO, a band wagon I jumped on a few years ago.

I found it kinked and was hard to pull tight when I tried to uni/ Palomar knot it
Might just snip the coating off and crimp the wire as mentioned

No need to remove the coating to crimp it

It's just ordinary plastic coated wire. Crimp it with the plastic on, very secure.

I used to use Rio Toothy Critter coated wire for fly leaders, crimps fine straight onto plastic coating. I crimp titanium mono wire leaders too, not had a problem

In the description here tells you what afw crimps to use for the breaking strains.
There’s also pdf on how to twist it at the bottom.

With nylon covered I use a 4turn Uni to the link and an Albright to the braid or Fluoro.

The problem with knotting nylon covered wire is the nylon stretches and the wire doesn't and it takes experience to learn how to seat a Uni knot correctly without the nylon parting. With the Albright loop in the wire it is a doddle.

The only nylon covered wire I crimp is 3mm yacht riggers wire (rubbing leaders for shark).
