You must be chewing at the bit to get her out mate.
I recognised the reiver there from a old gumtree add still online.

Yep I'm just waiting for the bad weather to ease off a bit :laughs:
But I have been out on Jenny before with Bri

The Reiver fly's with that big 75hp on  I had a bit of a problem with air getting in the system but it's sorted now and it don't half sup the motion lotion so it will be better all-round when I swop the outboards around

I just need to get my finger out to sort everything  :laughs:

Cheers Fergie

Yes bud

I'm taking the Honda 50hp off the Fyran 440 and putting it on the Reiver after the getoogether on strawberry

I have a Yamaha 25 two stroke that I will put on the Fyran 440

I will be keeping the Fyran.
And maybe the Reiver but I will see how it goes this season.

I will be selling the Evinrude 75hp two stroke off the Reiver
And the Orkney 16ft Fastliner with trailer I have.

I know its the wrong time of year to be messing and sorting boats out but it has to be done :laughs:

Cheers Fergie

Grant
The Fyran will struggle to perform with a 25, heavy boat!

Where is your evidence that it will struggle with a Yammy 25hp two stroke Ian?

I had an Orkney 16ft Strikeliner GRP with a 25hp two stroke on it which is heaver than the Fyran and that was fine

The reviews I have read point out the fact that it is a thick ally hull with lots of aluminium work in the bow, making it heavy at the bow, minimum recommended outboard is 30 which will get it on pad with low performance, most recommend 40 to 50Hp, but I’m sure you will try it anyway. The package you bought is great and well matched, not sure why you would want to change it, although I don’t think you can help yourself 😉

Well, it will make it better suited to a 25 if he cuts the front end off! 😂

I have a 15hp honda converted to a 20hp on my 12 foot sea strike and it still struggles two up. Reckon Brian's old boat needs the 50 on it.

Grant - I think Ian's right in that it'll struggle with a 25. My mates have a Quintrex of similar size with a double console. It has a 50 on and struggles to get on the plane 2 up.

25hp is no good if he wants to be the first to the other side of the lake. For trolling it will be fine, I think that’s the plan.

Surely the idea of a forum is so other people input and add their opinions on the threads otherwise they would be very short

I hear what your saying Mr Crookmaster

And as I said previously,
I already have a Yammy 25hp two stroke so doing a swop won't cost me anything except a bit of time and it may save me the cost of buying another 50 or 60hp for the Reiver Sportsboat

Don't forget a 25hp two stroke revs higher than a fore stroke so it may push it ok if not I can swop it back

For flip sake wish I could find the multi quote button

I only asked Grant because you were talking about switching engines and i read that fyrans built before 2015 were lighter grade ally then after 2015, they went to heavier alloy , just wondered if you knew .
